Samara Glazer, co-founder

Samara is a co-founder of Nurturing Youth Excellence (NYE) and a student at McMaster University. She grew up playing basketball at a provincial level and is a two-time provincial champion. Samara is also an NCCP-certified coach who has three years of coaching experience. She leads program planning, partnerships, and coaching to help girls build confidence on and off the court.

Damian Hughes, co-founder

Damian is a co-founder of Nurturing Youth Excellence (NYE) and a dedicated coach and community leader. He earned a Division I NCAA college offer and brings extensive playing and coaching experience to NYE. Damian is a trusted mentor and youth leader in the Jane & Finch community and leads the basketball and training sessions, helping girls develop their skills and unlock their potential.
