About Us

Nurturing Youth Excellence (NYE) was created to bring real opportunity to girls in the underserved Jane & Finch community, where access to safe, affordable sport for girls is limited. We use basketball as the vehicle to equip girls with the skills to rise: confidence, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and healthy habits that support and nurture every part of life. By removing financial barriers, NYE offers the first fully free and truly accessible girls’ basketball training and team experience in the area, making it possible for any girl to achieve their dreams in sport and beyond. We’re also working to bridge gender equity in sport by building a space where girls are prioritized, supported, and empowered, both on and off the court.
